Respect Nebraska Voters!
Gov. Jim Pillen announced that he will opt Nebraska in to the new federal voucher program, even though voters overwhelmingly rejected vouchers at the ballot box just months ago. Gov. Pillen is ignoring the will of the people of Nebraska. We said NO to vouchers.
This program doesn't begin until 2027, giving the Governor ample time to honor voters' wishes and opt Nebraska out.
Tell Pillen: NO Public Dollars for Private Schools!
The Next Terrorist Attack
Timothy Snyder
"Most of the people directing the relevant agencies are incompetent; the next few layers down have been purged in culture wars; much the remaining personnel have resigned, been fired, or are demoralized; resources have been diverted away from terror prevention; Americans have been distracted by fiction and chaos; and potential attackers have been encouraged.
And so we have to think — now — about what would follow such an attack. Musk, Trump, Vance, and the rest would try to exploit the moment to undo remaining American freedoms."
Trump Pushes To End Medical Care For Transgender Youth
Trump has proposed a rule that would prohibit federal Medicaid reimbursement for medical care provided to transgender patients younger than age 18. It also prohibits reimbursement through the Children's Health Insurance Program or CHIP for patients under age 19.

The Federal Government Must Fund November SNAP - Call Congress!
Trump's US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has instructed states to hold SNAP benefits until further notice - meaning the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services can't issue the approximately $27M of November food benefits to 150,000 SNAP participants across our state.
Even though the shutdown means benefits can’t be issued normally, the USDA is legally required to use a SNAP contingency fund to keep people across the country fed. Your voice is needed to tell Congress to fund and protect SNAP!
